Last week, Electronic Arts revealed an offer put forward to Take-Two chairman Zelnick to buyout T2 for nearly $2 billion. Zelnick expediently shot down the offer.Yesterday brought news of a new player on the field that could tip the battle in EA's favor -- Enter: Jack Thompson!(T2 shareholder)
He recently threw his support behind Electronic Arts in an impassioned letter, saying he would help "evict the Zelnick Trojan Horse from within Take-Two's corporate walls".

I imagine that Thompson would consider EA to be more receptive to his ignorant rants and litigation if it owned Take-Two. As a larger company, they would have more to risk from fallout.
