Even though Sony's PlayStation 3 was slow out of the gates, it has found its stride lately and performed extremely well over the past few months. And as the latest NPD numbers show, more good times are in store. But in the end, it's what's coming that matters and if you ask me, Sony has everything in place to have the best year of any console maker.

Games are getting bigger
Movies are getting bigger
MS have (so far) committed to DVD distribution and ignored Blu-Ray support
If either a video or a game exceeds a DVD's capacity, the only option for MS is online distribution
Xbox comes with either 0GB, 20GB, 120GB (right?)
So there are two options from where I'm standing
1. You don't watch HD movies and play games greater than a DVD
or
2. You do and store them on one of these hard drives
Let's assume people will want HD and large games. Let's ignore the maximum capacity and set it at a rough minimum capacity. 10GB. On the best 360 "elite" that's twelve games before you have to buy an external drive. When you factor in HD episodes & movies, the situation becomes ridiculous.
It's pretty silly to make out that 50GB will not be used or needed this cycle. Though I agree, an average would've been more sensible. Some developers are wary of the dual layer BD but they are not ignoring it. I'm pretty sure Drakes filled 25GB and the studio said their next game will use both layers. Resistance is supposedly 22GB. Dynasty Warriors 6 - 20GB, Lair - 25GB, Ratchet and clank - 25GB. I could go on. Yes not every game will be 50GB but plenty will in this cycle. Many will exceed DVD capacity though. Whether or not bigger is better is almost irrelevant, as it the developers choice not the consumers.

Bottom line is they either don't have games bigger than a DVD or they store them on a HD. One limits the consoles potential and the other just makes more of an issue out of storage. If anyone thinks that this isn't a problem I'd love to hear why.
RE: GTA
I was talking about the MS press interviews_not_the_SE! I was simply encouraging people here to deliver reasons for people buying 360s over PS3s for GTA. So you could either be rude and pull the fanboy card, or you could explain your own opinion. Yes it is relevant. Look at the article title. GTA will be a factor in PS3 adoption, be it large or small.
