The Laurel Center was the first of the Genesis Healthcare facilities in New England to use the Wii as an alternative form of rehabilitation for patients. It was first introduced by a physical therapy assistant in April of 2007, who brought in her personal game.
Now, the rehabilitation unit incorporates the Wii into other types of rehabilitation, and all of the Genesis Healthcare homes in the Northeast have a Wii.
