Nintendo and BBC have teamed up to get the BBC iPlayer running on the Wii. The BBC iPlayer offers time-limited replays of BBC shows including the news, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and others.

I can just see the ISPs wincing now with this news. The ISPs and the BBC are in a bit of a spat as to who is going to pay for the huge spike in bandwidth being used by the hord of BBCi players so this news cannot not be seen as good in all circles especially considering the Wii sales within the UK.
