Microsoft announced today that European sales for the X360 have more than doubled due to the recent pricedrop, “significantly broadening the console's audience” it says.
Microsoft said that “the X360 is the number one next-gen console in EMEA, owning 42% of the marketin terms of life to date revenue. X360 continues to enjoy the highest software attach rate of any game console in EU with more than 7.0 games sold per console (PS3: 3.8;Wii 3.5) after 27 months on the market.”

If the PS3 beats the 360 again in March(as predicted by the market) wonder if a price cut in the US is on the horizon, given this supposed sucess in Europe? With the US dollar being so weak Sony couldn't match a price cut. (note- from March 07 to today Sony is getting $20 less per every $100 of buying power for the USD, or on the $399 PS3 they are taking a profit of $80 less than they were a year ago. Key word : life to date revenue. I wonder if the 42% ocver only H/W Revenue, or include H/W & S/W Revenue.
About Wii's 3.5, did it include Wii Play or not ? If it was included, then in Europe Wii has worse attach rate than US.[ Oracle ] [ Level 30 ] [ Rank: 14935 ]bids

yeah i really believe a price cut in the USA is due about now. the last price cut wasn't even that big.
