Satoru Iwata says Nintendo isn't planning on reducing the cost of its market-leading Wii and DS consoles during the current fiscal year.
"Our earnings projection for the year is not based on hardware price cuts, and I don't think we are going to need them."

I don't think they need them either. They can't keep the Wii's on the shelves, and market value on auction sites are a good portion more than retail. They could raise the price, and still sell out.
