Nintendo has said that it is to raise the price of the Wii in the UK due to the depreciation of the pound.
The system has a recommended retail price of GBP 179.99 in the region, and with a price hike of around GBP 18 – 20, will put considerable pressure on retailers' margin.

I mean for hardware and software related to consoles. I don't think they will raise PS3 prices, if they were in Wii's position yes because Wii has already done what it needed to do regardless of how it does for the rest of this generation.[ Oracle ] [ Level 26 ] [ Rank: 241 ]bids

I can't remember hardware or software ever going up in price later in a generation in the past 25 years, especially years after launch, even if currency values depreciated [in comparison to Yen].
