  I think how good it is very important. If it actually does all it promises it has the potential to sell well. What is more important because we cannot restart this generation and as this generation is not ending soon is provide reasons to want it. That will be the critical and crucial key assuming that it is acutally good.
  
  So it needs to be good and it needs a lot of support. They pull that off and the device may just suprise us yet.

  i'm figuring by now either MS or Sony will figure out that in order to push that kind of vibe they have to package it in like nintendo did (solving the 'others' with some kind of software update)

  This is exactly right. Without being a STANDARD pack-in, support is going to be lacking. How well it works doesnt even enter into the equation. Even given how many balance boards are sold and how many motion+ will be sold, most support will be supplementary with the occasional exception like Red Steel 2.
  
  Nintendo and Sony are going to be on their toes for next cycle though.

  @Joe80,Unless it is packaged with the Xbox it'll remain very niche...like the PSEye games for the PS2 and the upcoming EYEPet (shown by Sony last year and very similar tech).

  Got to admit although heavily rumoured this is still more than I expected. The facial recognition sounds way cool. I cannot wait to see a demo of this in action.

  Project Natal on 360 allows motion control through full body motion capture, and has voice recognition. Allows control of both games and the dashboard. It is a camera and sensor assembly that recognizes faces, body movements, objects, and even voices. Development kits are arriving at Microsoft partners today.
