PS3 enjoys strong sales in Middle East

The Middle East accounts for the highest level of sales of Sony's PS3 games console among the world's developing countries, according to a senior official. "The PS3, which is a high-end machine costing about $400 has a strong market in the Middle East," Jim Ryan, Co-chief Operating Officer of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, told Emirates Business. "The sales have been disproportionately strong in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) and parts of Asia, especially in the May-June-July period.
