No sooner did Gears take that aforementioned crown did Naughty Dog's epic Uncharted series snatch it away. While both franchises are very different in terms of tone, style, and even mechanics, they both fall into the same category. And as much as I love Epic's great series, I really can't see Gears 3 topping Uncharted 3 in any category. Visual presentation? Voice acting? Soundtrack? Overall control? Storyline? Characters? Environment? Yeah, sorry Gears, you can't win this one.
