After speaking with a source close to Microsoft, GameSpot can confirm that Forza MotorSport 3 is currently in development. Set for release sometime next year, the racer will continue Microsoft's highly customizable racing series after Forza 2's commercial and critical success on the Xbox 360. The first Forza was released for the original Xbox in 2005 to similar raves from reviewers.

Turn 10's recently announced Forza Motorsport 3 will push the disc capacity beyond its limit, with the game to ship on two discs according to a recent interview. Speaking to Joystiq on the show floor at E3, Turn 10's John Wendl confirmed "It is going to ship on two discs. Disc one is the full experience, even disc one is bigger than any other racing game out there. Disc two includes a lot of extra cars, even a handful of tracks."
