A name has been given to the game demo'd at Apple's WWDC conference. Rage, the new IP from ID studios is said to be "60 percent shooting and 40 percent driving." The game will feature the second generation of Id's Megatexture technology and run on the new Id tech 5 graphics engine. Set in the future when a comet crashes into earth forcing the player to fight oppressive rulers as well as the mutant survivors of the comet.

The latest edition of Game Informer has some new details of Id Software's latest game, RAGE. The developers, recently acquired by Bethesda, give some interesting insight in the development of the game on the four platforms it is being released on, such as the technical hurdles they had to jump.
