Hey guys I'm sorry I never replied to your comments earlier. I've been very busy these past couple months and I haven't had as much free time to spend here on the SimExchange.
I'd like to throw in my thoughts about ATVI and video game stocks in general. Although I don't own ATVI I think it is good and will go higher through at least Christmas. We are going through a pullback right now and I think if you can pickup ATVI in the $20-21 range you will be well rewarded.
The market is not expecting very much from us consumers in general this Chirstmas, but I believe videogames will be the bright spot in spending. Therefore I am bullish on the entire video game sector but as always I would stick to the higher quality companies like Activision, Ubisoft, or my favorite Nintendo of which I still have a long position.
I would like to mention that I would stay away from Electronic Arts. It seems like the giant is still having a difficult time capitalizing on Nintendo's success and their Christmas lineup for the Wii and the DS appear to be very weak again. I don't understand why there is no scheduled version of Rock Band for the Wii. Wouldn't you want what is supposed to be one of your biggest new titles to launch on the best selling console? Additionally I also think they are making a big mistake pricing Rock Band at $169 forcing gamers to purchase the complete set or nothing at all. Only the most hardcore Harmonix fans will be picking this package up and you can be sure there will be few sets picked up as Christmas gifts. However this should all be beneficial for Guitar Hero III and Activision.
Long story short I believe ATVI, UBSFF, and NTDOY are all good.
