We have a fair idea based on sales info we have from other games. IMO gamers who pirate software do not count as gamers as far as this discussion goes, and as far as digital downloads go it's not even relevant to the conversation of how many copies sold of the PS3 vs the PC.
Here is what we do know.
Shipped numbers for PC games are lower than PS3 games, shipped numbers for PC games in the US are extremely low.
We know that 1.2 million copies have been shipped in the US and PC copies in Europe.
so the question is, how many copies of games, namely FPS games, do we usually see shipped between the US and Europe for PC games compared to US PS3?
On top of that you have to question how many more copies you think the PS3 version will ship in Europe when it launches, as well as how many more copies will ship for the rest of the game's life.
