Is this guy high or incredibly stupid? Nintendo could drop the price and still be making money on their console. Sure price reductions shift consoles but what is he on? I don't think MS and Sony will never overtake the Wii.
Perhaps I'm misinterpreting sewn up. If by sewn up they mean Wii will sell the most hardware and software...well then... yes it will. It appeals to a bigger audience so of course sales all round will be better. It's like saying, will more people watch Pop Idol or a documentary on video game history? Pretty obvious answer. Mass appeal wins.
Some people still seem to think the Wii is a fad / gimmick. Though most of those people have already invested in another console. Pretty sure they label it thus to make themselves feel better about not having the money to dedicate to another console.
The thing I love about Wii is that it has games the masses hate that I would love. Say Metroid or a VC classic. Games the masses love, that I think are playable but pretty average. Wii Play / EA Playground. This means whether I'm alone or with friends there's always fun to be had. I recently got a fourth Wii-mote and four player tennis is great casual gaming.
If we're talking numbers - Wii will win this one. They've really opened up gaming to the masses again. This time I think it'll be a whole new level.
