I have ran into the DRM policy for nearly two years now, having had to send my console back twice. The first time, they reimbursed me with points, which at the time totaled nearly $150. At that point I was buying every release every wednesday. Once I found out about the dreaded DRM issue, I stopped buying so much content online, aside from Catan, and some rockband songs.
The second time, I didn't care enough to spend another 8 hours on the phone. Still, I am happy with my 360 experience as a whole.
They have since fixed the DRM issue, but it's a pain in the butt. As per Major Nelson's blogcast a couple weeks ago, you can use the following method to transfer your licenses to your machine.
1. Go to the marketplace 2. Go to your download history 3. Redownload the game/content
Note that this only works if you had your machine repaired and replaced by Microsoft, and not an in-store warranty return.
I don't think it's necessarily bad that they are getting rid of games that have a poor conversion rate. Although, I do agree with Joe80, that they should be listed at a blowout price before being delisted. But then again, is Scramble even worth 50 cents? No.
