I can certainly see the scenario of a Wii HD coming late 2009 early 2010. Nintendo certainly will be working on a replacement and I imagine that started as soon as the first Wii hit the stores.
It will likely depend on any noticeable decline in demand. As the demand and expectations of users grows with regards to HD we could see a shift away. Also I see the other console makers upping the ante to try and capture some of the market. Yes they have not managed up till now but that will not stop them trying.
