"No wonder simEx's Wii Fit stock price are higher than PS3."
When did Wii Fit go above 63M? :D
I continue to be long on Wii Fit however, here's why.
It's much cheaper to make games for the Wii balance board and it has a bigger install base in Japan. It's also showing no signs of slowing down. This makes it a viable platform to target software at, even in the US / EU
Third parties are struggling to capture the new market Nintendo are bringing in with products like Wii Fit. One early criticism of the Wii was that many regarded it as just a "Wii Sports" machine. Getting a consumer to purchase another game on the back of Wii Sports has proved to be tricky. However, consider the consumers who bought a Wii just for Wii fit. Many more readily available applications spring to mind. Skateboarding, Snowboarding, Step "classes" , Party games and the like.
There is a very viable opportunity for a third party publisher to get in there and make a hit product for a relatively low investment. When one of them cracks it (and publishers like money so they will) it's only going to drive Wii balance board purchases further.
