Kojima must be losing some sleep over whether or not to port this game.
On the one hand, the MGS games have only sold well on Sony consoles. This despite an EXCELLENT Gamecube remake of the first one and a X-Box port of MGS2. However, with the state of the PS3, it's doubtful that his company will breakeven on that console alone, given how much the development of this game must have cost.
Do you spend more money and gamble on a port, or hope that the PS3 will gain a LOT more steam? It's an amazing series and I'd love to play the next installment, but I certainly won't be paying $600+ (plus game) to do so and I wonder how many PS2 owners will think the same.
