The video was pulled from youtube due to copyright claims from Nibris. Does that mean that the video was legitimate? If it was just a fake, then there wouldn't be a copyright infringement, correct?
Will: Adam, Thanks for being able to talk to me about Sadness. I think the biggest question my readers have for you is ‘Is Sadness real? and if so have you seen any progress made on the game?”
Adam: Sure, Will. Obviously there’s only so much I can say. I can tell you for sure that the project is real, they’re actively developing it. There’s no publisher for the game yet and as such it’s impossible for us to say when the game is going to be released. Basically, that’s the official statement. Nibris is doing an overhaul to their official site now. Next week they’re supposed to launch it and there will be some added information and a couple screenshots.
Will: Are you guys in constant contact with Nibris or do you feel you get long periods of silence like the public does?
Adam: Oh, Yeah. We communicate with them just about every day. We’re their development end. We basically manage all of their business development.
Will: Do they send you assets to look at? Have you seen a steady stream of screenshots and video?
Adam: Yeah I see everything that the public sees and we see a few other things as well. Obviously, I can’t disclose any added information beyond the fact that the game does exist and it is being shopped to publishers but there hasn’t been a fit just yet.
Will: Okay, Without giving away any details or anything, can you tell me if you have actually seen the game running?
I thought that I would link to this story. It is the Christmas card from developer, Nibris and it is one that promotes their title, Sadness. It seems as though the developer, Nibris still plans on finishing developing Sadness and find a publisher to distribute it. Even though this is the only thing we have heard about the game in months, I believe that it keeps this game from turning into total vaporware as it still exists at this time.
I'm sad to see you leave argon if you really mean it, and I wish it was on better terms. I don't remember how familar I was with you but you were on my friends list and I remember you contributing well to the SE.
I am not going to comment regarding Sadness stock.
Out of curiousity I read about the game & developer on Wikipedia. They sure talk the talk and sound intelligent in their writing with ambitious plans for their games, possibly too ambitious or they're talking them up to be more than they will be.
According to Wikipedia they have 4 titles in development. Seems a bit strange given that none have released yet & they are a small developer, but maybe that allows them to be more creative and come up with new game ideas without a publisher trying to tell them what to do.
Them seem to have announced more than once that they would be revealing content from their games, but then I don't think they ever did, although the year is not up yet for them to show their Sadness trailer. Maybe the media overlooked when they showed something in the past, but more likely they never followed through with their announcements. I expect them to release ROTR on DS and go from there. At this point I don't know what to think about Sadness.
Sorry, argon, but the futures are way better then the stocks: You are definitely paid out with something close to reality, so you have to be right to gain money. Thats not so true at stocks. If you don't wanna trade futures, I would say you don't wanna be called.
@argon,I'm sorry to see you go but I'm surprised that you're so upset about this, maybe you want another Project HAMMER?
I personally like the changes made to the Exchange since then, its improved things significantly for those who do not try to exploit the system.
Futures are what people in the industry care about, they also look at Metacritic Scores, these things make the exchange more relevant.
If you don't like whats happening with Sadness, don't trade in it, but to leave the exchange because things aren't going your way sounds eerily familiar.
