@mrahaju, Well... It would seem that the Wii version sold more than the PS2 version just barely or virtually the same amount.
PS2 was reported by Capcom as having sold 270k and now they have reported 280k sold on the Wii.
In that light, it doesn't look like Okami on the Wii did so bad - it had a larger installed base on the PS2 and sold basically the same amount in a greater amount of time then the Wii version has had thus far.
not worth an article submission, but definitely worth a mention: Source of "Blogspam": http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/15/today-in-joystiq-april-15-2008/
Create some awesome Okami-inspired art, put it on DeviantArt and Capcom might reward you with a Nintendo Wii. http://news.deviantart.com/article/46598/
This is a smart marketing technique, where Nintendo will gain product awareness and perhaps even draw in a different market than before. I would expect that this new awareness should definitely help Okami sales.
"Since its release in September of 2006, the game [Okami] has amassed about 270,000 in sales -- certainly no retail bomb, but hardly the success story that such a product might have enjoyed."
