All in all, we can all agree that Hellgate: London was expected to be more. As a beta tester there was constant arguing and bickering about the expectations of the game. There will always be people to defend this game to death, but for all I know, it's not the revolutionary gameplay I was promised, nor was it the antidote to the WoW epidemic I hoped it be.
Kali's Opinon: This game resembles a gameplay like the Diablo series in which players can only communicate in towns then go off and basically half the time solo. As for the MMO aspect, I would say not much retail sales. Under 500k copies.
@feelmyring, perhaps they can fix things later, but first impressions of a released game are very important. When consumers looking to buy the game months from now, the bugs may be fixed, but they will still see these terrible reviews. Nobody re-reviews games.
@Gaara42, You don't think it's a little soon to see if they can pull out of their tail spin? The game has barely been out for two weeks, and there's a patch coming out shortly that might fix some issues.
@Gaara42, Whoa, so i noticed you were bearish on this stock last night Gaara42....so i shorted it at 146...i wake up this morning and Bam! :p Nice find! ;)
This game has suffered from to much bad publicity for it to reach the current levels we predict for it. The two friends of mine who picked this game up were very disappointed, by the load times, the lack of guidance to the next quest and the high amount of glitches in the game. They strongly advised me not to get it or wait for the next Hellgate game to come out (if one does). I think that many Asian players will be doing the same after seeing their characters wiped and not recommend that their friends buy the game (they may not buy the game due to the fear that their time investment will be wiped at some later date by another patch). This game may have sold well initially, but this runt of bad news has destroyed any long tail it might have had. Due to this I this a price of 100DKP or below seems more accurate at the moment.
@feelmyring, Thats been the "wisdom" of those arguing for this game all along, that it would be a surprise hit. I really doubt that it will take off, now that people actually have the game most of them are just not impressed by it.
I played the demo and found the game very samey. Not the full game I admit but a demo should be like a theatrical trailer and make me want to buy and this one did not, so I am not suprised by the score.
Is anyone playing this game? I'm playing it and absolutely loving it. I think once word gets out that the game is fun to play, and they work out initial online kinks, this will be a monster of a game.

Since we seem to measure WoW by subscriber numbers...does this mean we should be at well above 100 DKP here?
