There's some crazy activity on this stock today. It was up nearly 20% earlier. Did someone miss out on the IPO yesterday? I don't see any reason for this stock to be up beyond yesterday unless a lot of people just didn't log on.
Cool screenshot quiksilvy, but it looks like the thumbnails had some problems. Team Xbox has thumbnails for all their screenshots if you just click the screenshots button in their navbar. You have to get the actual jpeg address, not the webpage address for the thumbnail to work though. You can fix this through the Your Submissions part in the Community Section. Check out the tutorials if you have any probs.
Yes as part of the evolving IPO system, the stocks now IPO at the same price for the whole day.
This isn't how the real stock market works (it actually uses a more complicated bidding and allocation process) but it solves the problem where people had to rush online to buy when the game was listed before the price sky rocketed just because people wanted to own the game stock and not necessarily intelligent projections of game sales.
My understanding is this is temporary and they are trying to make the simExchange more and more like the real capital markets so that it is a more realistic learning experience.
People are not requesting to buy that many shares. That number is put into the system to accommodate the ongoing IPO. Orginally the system did not support IPOs so in order to lock in the price for the day and give anyone who wants to a shot at buying the stock at the IPO price the people running the boards sell and buy a set number of copies (9999) and there by jam the system at the given price. When the IPO is over they will use their fabulous admin powers to make those purchases disappear and then the stock will fluctuate normally.
Forza is the fairly popular Microsoft exclusive racing series. The original Forza allowed you to own and customize your choice of many cars, creating the ultimate racing machine with real high-perfomance upgrades. The original Forza for Xbox was extremely well rated and recieved (9.5 on IGN)
Forza Motorsport 2 promises more of the same. With cars ranging from corvettes to lamborghinis, this game has more of the same action people fell in love with on the original. However, it also boasts an updated driving physics engine, changing track markers to indicate the need for braking/acceleration, and improved racing assists.
The game boasts impressive graphics and claims to be one of the most realistic driving sims out there. This game does have support for the steering wheel attachment for those arcade die hards.
I have been guilty of this in my own submissions so I don't mean for the submitter to take this personally. However, I know nothing about this game. I have never heard of the series, and the the description, therefore is no help. This won't get my vote at least until there is more info and I am really of the theory that we need more stocks so I tend to vote things up readily.
