As I found out from www.commandandconquer.com. This conversion (reality based) is coming out soon.
This is a very good expansion and conversion pack whci is being released for CC3 tiberium wars. This conversion pack will require CC3, so there will be even more CC3 sales. THis stock is undervalued.
Exclusive info on Kane's Wrath including behind the scenes footage and an interview with cinematic director Richard Taylor, bloopers from the last episode of BattleCast Primetime, and more. It's a fun piece and it also has two new "C&C Babe's" once again.
CC3 has already more than 1 million sold, and given that I bought a copy recently, this will continue selling into christmas with recent price drops. (nearly half price now on amazon).
Has there been a press release regarding C&C3's sales? Usually if they hit one million copies, they would put out a press release. If they haven't hit one million by now, I'd be wary of it ever selling 1.6 million. To my knowledge, this has long fallen off the charts.
Has anyone here calculated a breakdown of the sales that likely went to the PC version? I recall EA put out some numbers for all platforms and we probably have a good guess on the Xbox 360 version. The PC version's sales would obviously be the difference. Huge props for whoever can look this up.
Titles like C&C have always launched at $50. PC Games certainly have budget titles that start lower though. Games like Zoo Tycoon launch at lower prices ($30-40?).
I think expansions have been moving up in price though. I recall a lot of expansions being $30. They seem to be $40 now (WoW:BC), but I may be mistaken.
Hmm. I've always remembered PC games selling at $40 and rarely some at $50. But it seems recently a lot are now at $50 even those that I would not deem AAA. It's been a while since I bought a new release PC game though. I agree about the LE.
Joe80, that is an interesting point but I don't think the price of PC games is actually increasing. AAA PC games generally debut at $50. I think Doom 3 wanted to push the envelope with $55.
I consider a Limited Edition a whole new product that caters to the fans who want to pay $10 extra for special footage, prints, etc. Gamers who just want to play the game (how it used to work) still just pay $50.
This is different from console games which have gone to $60 this generation for a AA-AAA title (or what the publisher thinks is a high-end title). Then there are collector's editions for $70 or more (in the case of Halo's Legendary Edition).
