"IGN recently had the privilege of attending an SCEA press event where we dove right into the heart of Insomniac Games. It was in the studio that we were given some serious hands-on time with its newest and eagerly awaited title: Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction."
At first glance, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction isn't a huge departure from the five games that preceded it. Hands-on impressions from this year's E3 were overwhelmingly positive,

We don't know who said it first, but it's true: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It's an idea that Insomniac Games obviously believes, as the latest Ratchet & Clank isn't much different from any of the others in this cartoon-ish, platforming/shooting series. Though as we learned from a recent visit to its HQ, Insomniac obviously doesn't buy the idea that if it ain't broke, don't tweak it.
Insomniac's Brian Allgeier was at Sony's post-conference gameplay party today, showing off the very first level of Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. As a longtime fan of the series, I'm happy to report that it plays just as other Ratchet games have -- with similar physics and mechanics -- meaning that veteran Lombax users should be able to jump right in and go...
