@Rol83,OK good point. Personally i just don't think it will reach that. I'm on PSN and out of thirty friends id have to say only 2 of them got the prologue. Why would you buy the gran trismo prologue anyway. Its a waste of money especially since MGS4 + GTA4 are coming out soon. The only sales i can see from this are people who badly want the game + bundles. I can see only too things. Good prologue sales bad full game sales or vice versa.
You can't compare GT4:P with GT5:P in my opinion. GT4 was just an overworked version of GT3. Everyone was able to play GT on the PS2 (even if it was the "older" version). GT5 is the GT one for the PS3. Nobody wants to play the predecessor because it's on the predecessor console with the predecessor engine... A pretty huge part of the fanbase wants to play it now, even if it is just a demo version and even if they have to pay 70% of a full-game price. They will not wait another year (at least) to lay their hands on the final version. My forecast is 4 Million.
Why is this game so high? Are we really going to expect 4million for the prologue .The prologue for the GT4 for the PS2 didnt even sell 2million Why would GT5 prologue sell more on the PS3. 2million is my prediction, 2.5 TOPS.
Tranlation:Sony France welcomes its sales side of title in France. Released at home on March 26 on PS3, a foretaste of GT5 it is up to 65,000 copies during its first week of marketing we are told. A nice performance by Georges Fornay commented, CEO of SCE France, which took the opportunity to clarify the sales figures of the machine in France: "Gt5P has resulted in a growth of 80% in sales of the PS3.
It may have taken more than a little time for Polyphony to warm to the idea, but Gran Turismo head Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that the series is finally going to be implementing damage, saying it could be included as a downloadable feature for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as early as this Autumn.
