@Gaara42, I'm sure there are folks who get the game later, especially considering the nature of system reqs in PC gaming, but from the PC charts I've seen, nearly every game other than Blizzard games and The Sims fall off the charts after 1-2 months.
We don't have any figures on modern PC games, so its hard to really benchmark this stuff. I think the Enemy Territory NPD Future will certainly help us when that data is released, but I think PC games are overvalued in general here.
Does anyone know if Unreal Tournament games sell a lot of copies in their first month or do they have a really long tail? Most of the people I know who play UT2004 still bought it a year or more after it was released, that is what I did. Due to this I think that the current price may be to high and that a price around 18DKP seems more realistic.
The Unreal Tournament 3 demo snuck onto the net early this morning. We quickly downloaded and installed the game to check out Epic's latest Unreal Engine 3 showcase.
wow i just noticed that crysis, call of duty four and unreal tournament all shooter/pc games are being released head to head on the same month?Wont this affect there sales?
The PC game will ship this November, and Epic is working to get the PlayStation 3 game done as quickly as possible, but the release window for that hasn't been announced yet. Finally, the Xbox 360 game will come at a much later date.
