Ratchet & Clank Early Release Confirmed

SCEA - October 18, 2007

"Due to some unexpected quickness at the factory, a vast majority of retailers have already received the game. With that, some retailers are choosing to release the game next week instead of waiting until the 30th, which we are all too happy to allow. Official launch date remains October 30, but for those who can’t wait ..., check with your local game retailer next week."

R&C sales past 1 million

MTV - March 5, 2008

Submitted by Mushashi (5) at 1:16PM PST on March 5, 2008

Multiplayer: Sony fans got panicked when they saw NPD numbers and saw it only sold several thousand in the U.S., whatever it was. [Under 75,000 in the U.S. in its first calendar month on sale.] Price: It’s sold over a million worldwide now, so…It’s actually on par with the PlayStation 2 games now. It sold as many as the other games have at this point in its lifecycle.

Ratchet & Clank PS3 IGN Review

IGN - October 23, 2007

Whether you're new to R&C or someone who has played them all, Ratchet and Clank Future deserves to be in your library no matter what. It's the best game on the PlayStation 3 thus far -- and that's saying a lot when you're up against Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden, Warhawk and Insomniac's very own previous effort, Resistance: Fall of Man. Presentation: 10, Graphics: 9.5, Sound: 8.5, Gameplay: 9.5, Replay Value: 9.0, **Overall: 9.4**

Loot Ninja Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction Review

Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction is a very entertaining game and a solid platform title on the PS3. Loading in the game is very quick and there are a ton of options and weapons for you to choose from to cause mayhem. It also takes advantage of the six axis controls and tries to incorporate it into the gameplay as much as possible.

Today we have one of the best looking games I’ve seen this year, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction on PS3. This is a great, fun and charming action and platforming game in which your fuzzy faced Lombax character runs around like a crazy thing, killing bad guys and collecting bolts with your quirky little robot buddy. Awesome."

Gamespot reviews Tools of Destruction

Gamespot - October 23, 2007

Submitted by Demon_Gaara007 (343) at 6:59PM PST on October 23, 2007

"Try as it might, Tools of Destruction doesn't achieve the same level of greatness as its predecessors. It's too easy, the story falls flat, and the "throw everything in including the kitchen sink" style of gameplay takes too much of the focus off the tight platforming and fun combat. That said, the gorgeous visuals and generally fun gameplay are enough to make Tools of Destruction worthwhile for the series' fans and newcomers alike."
