LOL is announced for the DS

megatonik - March 13, 2008

Submitted by felipedmoreira (378) at 5:33PM PST on March 14, 2008

LOL is played by one of the players making a challenge in writing to the others. The crazier the challenge, the more fun everyone will have. The person who delivered the challenge chooses an appropriate time limit, and everyone has to answer the challenge on their touch screen however they see fit – with words, pictures, or whatever comes to mind.

In Japan, consumers are rewarded with 1000 free Nintendo DSi points when they first connect their new DSi system to the online store. We've been crossing our fingers that North American gamers will receive the same reward when the portable is released here on April 5, and it looks like we're in luck.

Nintendo Does Not See Decline In Sight For DS Sales

Kotaku - January 7, 2008

Submitted by necron101 (15) at 9:33PM PST on January 7, 2009

After selling millions and millions of DS units, you'd think Nintendo president Satoru Iwata would be bracing himself for a decline in sales. Heck, no! Iwata sees DS sales as something that will continue to grow. His logic: "Some say the market for the DS is saturated, but I disagree. In Japan, a country with a population of 127 million, we've sold 23 million DS units.Sales of the product could grow further in foreign countries considering their populations."
