I think this could lead to a nice spike in Canadian video game sales. Due to our rising dollar, consumers are increasingly demanding parity with US prices.
Video game prices tend to be about 10% (or up to $10) higher than US game prices, and older releases cost even more. For example, an older DS title can still cost up to $45 new, while brand new titles are as low as $30...a relfectiion that newer titles were shipped at a different exchange rate.

If other retailers follow (and they will, most major ones have price-matching policies) then we could see a 10-25% price cut across the board for video games here. This won't affect futures, but it could impact VGChartz numbers. Something to consider when viewing them.
