Te first day numbers are in for the latest releases in Japan, such as Ace Combat 6 on Xbox 360 and the Wii duo of Opoona and Super Mario Galaxy. According to Japanese blogger 'sinobi', who regularly updates with early sales figures, Koei's Wii-exclusive RPG 'Opoona', developed by Artepiazza (the team working with Square Enix on the Dragon Quest DS remakes), has only sold around 2,500 copies on its first day, which is 10% of its initial stock.

My first console was SNES and there are 3 games I remember heavy from the Time: Mario, Mario Kart and Street fighter. The Wii as a more adult audience at the moment, I think it is very possible that a lot of "older" buy the game, just because its a mario and that remembers them of their childhood. Hell who in my age (25) didn't play one Mario in his childhood?
