Analysts suggest Nintendo & MS made decisions that would lead to shortages. "Wii shortages were compounded by diversion of supply to JA to support Wii Fit and SSBB."
Evan Wilson: MS said supply constraints dampened sales, consistent with us. "However, we don't believe underestimation of demand led to big constraints given recent sales volume. More likely due to comp. restrictions or intentional drying of channel before a new-product launch.""
