Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR) analyst Jesse Divnich says Microsoft and Sony may have no option but to lower the cost of the Xbox 360 and PS3 as both systems appear to have saturated their market potential at their current price points.

Well, MS is not getting outsold by PS3 in the US maybe, but it is getting outsold by it in Europe and of course Japan. So right now, the only possibility to stop losing ground would be to cut the price in America.
That would leave Sony in a bad position though in the states, and I bet they don't like that either ^^[ Oracle ] [ Level 18 ] [ Rank: 511 ]bids

Sony can't afford to cut prices with the weak Yen and their recent statement about focusing on profits. So the question is does MSFT cut price? MSFT is making money on the 360 at the current US price and not losing any ground to the PS3. So by standing firm on price they make money and maintain a lead of ps3. However they are going to get beat by the wii either way, the question is do they want to get buried or just beat? If the wii outsells the 360 and ps3 combined(which its is doing thru 4 months) more and more 3rd party focus on the wii.[ Veteran ] [ Level 23 ] [ Rank: 30 ]bids
