Here is a link to the press release in pure form. As you can see, EA never stated anything about the current number of creatures created but only the 250,000 in a day and peak uploading of 1,000 a minute.

They did not announce it at 360,000. That is the number of creatures that were uploaded when GameSpot looked at the website. EA and Maxis merely announced the 250,000 creatures in a day. Different media outlets have different numbers for the total number of creatures created - depending on when they looked at the site. :P[ Oracle ] [ Level 20 ] [ Rank: 294 ]bids
