Producer Shinji Mikami and innovative designer Suda51 are working with EA Partners on an new action horror title for the PC, Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3, and Wii.

It doesn't feel like EA is desperate to me, maybe just savvy or stubborn negotiators depending on your point of view.
Either way though it seems that EA is set on expanding. They're signing deals with people I would have never expected them to work with. The recent deals with ID, Epic, and Grasshopper have all been surprising and it all seems to reflect a new era for EA.
