Earlier this year, SCE announced a new feature that would help make online play on PSP a much more common experience for gamers. It's now confirmed to debut on Oct 30th. This "Ad-Hoc Party" service connects PSP and PS3 together, using the console as the home base for online play utilizing ad-hoc mode. The PS3 would "tunnel" your game session between another player or set of players over the internet.

RE: Online routing between PS3 and PSP debuts Oct 30thim curious to see how well this actually works. you would think that with the programming done for ad hoc mode in games, developers made certain assumptions about bandwidth restraints (ie since the wireless on the psp is a 802.11g, you would think they probably assumed full 54mbps connection). curious indeed[ Oracle ] [ Level 21 ] [ Rank: 148 ]bids
