To comment on your "and we still don't even know if it will be sold in stores or simply on the PSN where sales figures are complete estimates." The below quote is fromt that Article I submitted from 1up Previews LittleBigPlanet Q&A on page 2.
"But what's great is that we can draw a line in the sand. And what the Blu-ray release is going to be about, is really getting a great PlayStation -- if you like, "AAA" -- console experience. It's just gonna compete with any other game you could get on Blu-ray, and that's when we'll know the Blu-ray is ready: when it's fun, when there's enough there that it's a product that you want to play, and you'll get your money's worth. We'll make sure it's a good value."
So the answer to your question has already been answered. It will be on both the PSN and the Blu-ray. Also like you already mentioned that this is for the lifetime of the game. The more I find out about this game, the more it stands out. the question will be what will the pricing be for the blu-ray vs. the PSN store.
I believe you have some valid concerns and at one point in time I would of agreed totally with that statement but with some recent information I have been following I don't see why LBP wouldn't sell 3 million units. If this turns out to be a "myspace" type of service with this game it could be bigger than what we are thinking it will be.
Of course to be devils advocate here. Everyone that gets this game could think it's the worst thing ever and it will never get to a million, but with know the fact of a Blu-ray in store option I think the chances of this selling the 3 million has risen to a lot higher percentage than it would of been if only a PSN download.
