That's a very unsophisticated comparison. If the number of Blu-Ray players is so high, why aren't Blu-Ray disc sales doing dramatically better than the first two years of DVD sales?
The decision to not put blu-ray in the 360 has been absolutely vindicated. They're sitting pretty with a machine 8m sales ahead and half the price with a whole lot of momentum despite being dramatically behind Sony last gen.
