ATVI seems to be doing well as of late, eventhough as a gamer it doesn't look like the best play. With only 6 unique titles listed on the simExchange (depends on how you consider the PSP CoD game), their portfolio of games doesn't seem to like much compared to the first party publishers.
However, all these titles are cross platform, and combined, none of them are a flop. From the simExchange predictions, every franchise listed will sell at least 2 million copies across all platforms.
Just submitted 3 articles from the Wall Street crowd all very bullish on the future of Activision. Basically they are looking to a strong Spiderman 3 game and continued Guitar Hero and Call of Duty sales. Shrek the Third game will be coming out this summer alongside the movie. Haven't heard demands to get this game listed yet =).
The stock has been on the rise in the past couple of months--I think because analysts keep pumping up how great ATVI's line up for the coming year is supposed to be.
I am long Spider-Man 3, but other than that, I don't see a whole lot happening. Guitar Hero II (Xbox 360) will cetainly add some additional revenue, but I don't see any new IPs that will really spur growth.
On the simExchange, the only other games that are listed are CoD3, M:UA, and THP8, all old games with only CoD3 providing any additional revenue at this point.
