Take-Two's earning statement confirms BioShock 2 is coming in fiscal year 2009. That would likely put its release sometime next holiday season. The report's formatting initially had PS3, Xbox 360 and PC next to BioShock 2 but it has since been revised with "TBA." The report also states Grand Theft Auto IV has sold over 10 million copies worldwide as of August 16.

Despite rumors to the contrary a knowledgeable source claims Viacom is not in talks to buy Take-Two interactive. After reports on the web said Viacom had offered $1.5 billion for Take-Two, parent company of GTA developer Rockstar, saw a 12% rise in shares.

Rumor has it that 2K Sports have walked away from negotiations with The Collegiate Licensing Company and that 2K9 College Hoops has been officially canned due to the break down in the talks. Electronic Arts may be in the process of trying to secure another exclusive sports franchise by landing the same sort of licensing deal that managed to grab with the NFL.

Take-Two is to outsource its own distribution business, Jack of All Games, to new partner Ditan Distribution. Ditan will now handle all shipping, receiving and warehouse management of the business, along with the Jack of All Games lease and staff, based in West Chester, Ohio.
