After speaking with a source close to Microsoft, GameSpot can confirm that Forza MotorSport 3 is currently in development. Set for release sometime next year, the racer will continue Microsoft's highly customizable racing series after Forza 2's commercial and critical success on the Xbox 360. The first Forza was released for the original Xbox in 2005 to similar raves from reviewers.

Turn 10's recently announced Forza Motorsport 3 will push the disc capacity beyond its limit, with the game to ship on two discs according to a recent interview. Speaking to Joystiq on the show floor at E3, Turn 10's John Wendl confirmed "It is going to ship on two discs. Disc one is the full experience, even disc one is bigger than any other racing game out there. Disc two includes a lot of extra cars, even a handful of tracks."

A dynamic career mode and much more revealed. Forza Motorsport 3 is for car lovers. That's the message developer Turn 10 hopes to get across to consumers at E3 2009. And they really mean it. The goal of Forza 3 is not to force gamers to play at a higher skill level or even teach them how to become master videogame racers. The goal is to create a game that is accessible to everyone, from a little kid to an old man.

It's starting to look like Microsoft and developer Turn 10 Studios will have something to show soon, more than likely at this year's E3 expo. The forthcoming racing game's logo was teased at a recent Xbox 360 showing in Sao Paulo, Brazil, a subtle, hype-generating mention that was spied by CVG.

The game launched in North America and Europe on October 27 and 23, respectively. Microsoft has announced Swiss born, female racing sensation Natacha Gachnang as the European ‘Face of Forza’ to celebrate the upcoming launch of Forza Motorsport 3 for the Xbox 360 which is due on October 23rd. In December 2008, Gachnang was announced as the first ever female driver to race in the FIA Formula Two Championships. The 21 year old, who is the cousin of Formula One driver Sébastien Buemi, is currently shining in her debut season racing under MotorSport Vision.
