Microsoft are getting all excited and have announced that the Halo 3 pre orders have passed the million mark. Which is some kind of record apparently. Want to know more then fell free to read the lengthy Microsoft press release.

1 million is certainly an impressive number. Surprisingly, my local Wal Mart stores have even been taking pre-orders for Halo 3, the first game I've seen them do this for. Perhaps MS has reached into new markets that normally didn't pre-order games.

The 4 million claim was made 3 months ago as well. WAY wide of the mark ;)
Well, the article claims 1 million for "North America"...which would include Canada. About 65% of 360s are in America. That's about the same percentage as the XB had. Halo 2 had just under 80% of its sales in America.
So I would imagine another 200-250k worldwide.
