Outspoken director Michael Bay has once again posted a note on his website in regards to the format war, this time calling out Microsoft. He pointed out, similar to what many insiders have been saying for a while, that Microsoft was only trying to destroy both formats in order to usher in digital downloads. Mr. Bay called Blu-ray the "superior" format and hinted that Microsoft was behind the now infamous Paramount payoff.

Michael Bay is obviously a fan of Blu Ray but as he seems to refer to Blu Rays obvious superiority I can class him as just another Blu Ray fanboy.
I do not think it is a secret that Microsoft are working to digital distribution. I think the obvious reason they support the format is they are directly linked to its success vis HDi and also through the Xbox via its competitor the PS3.
I have watched Transformers on HD DVD Michael and this inferior format did a stand up job thanks.
