  @CrAzZyYmAn, this is good to know, but I am almost positive this number is sold to retailers (units shipped), and not units sold to end consumers.

  Ubisoft announced today that Assassin's Creed has sold more than two and a half million units worldwide and it expected to sell more than 5 million units in the fiscal year 2007-08. The publisher's previous estimate was three million.
