i really dont think that this is a major problem, the drop in sales has been rather small, its not like they havent sold at all, they are still making good profits just not quite as much. dont forget all the other major releases this year vying for consumers cash which must have taken a slice out of sports sims yearly updates sales as they are not critically acclaimed and you can always just use last years copy till you can get it on the cheap. considering the far greater competition this year i dont think that EA's yearly updates have done too badly.
