Part of Microsoft's $26 million settlement agreement with [Immersion] reportedly stipulated that it would be entitled to a payment in the event that Immersion reached a settlement with Sony as well. Microsoft and Immersion are back in court over this latest dispute, with Microsoft aiming to block law firm Irell and Manella from representing Immersion in the case. Judge Ricardo Martinez refused the motion, however, to disqualify all of the firm's attorneys.

am i reading wrong or does it actually say that immersion owes microsoft money?
from the source source article (seattlepi.com)
"At the same time, according to Microsoft's current suit, the Redmond company negotiated rights to a payment from Immersion if it ultimately settled with Sony, as well. In the meantime, as documented in this previous post, the settlement provided Immersion with a significant amount of money at a time when it needed to fund its continued suit against Microsoft's competitor."
