Microsoft has pulled off a major coup by luring former I-Play CEO and MD of Nintendo Europe David Gosen to its management team, MCV can reveal.
The new VP of strategic marketing within Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business in Europe joins a newly-promoted Chris Lewis to further drive Xbox 360’s expansion into wider markets.
Gosen said : “Xbox 360 is now a mass-market gaming console, and with the recent price reduction we’re poised to open the market for Xbox 360 even wider."

I believe you lived in Europe, but I don't know where exactly you are ? UK ?
I know that NoE used to be really, really bad. But my impression is that they have improved a lot recently, since the launch of Wii. Good Nicole Kidman DS advertising, great DS promotion, better PAL S/W release, which is why I think that it is a very good move on MSFT part to get NoE CEO. By getting the chief of Nintendo Europe? Hell no. Sorry but Nintendo Europe is really not that great: Bad advertisement, bad publicity etc.

Nintendo Europe managing director David Gosen announced his resignation from his position as Nintendo Europe managing director of sales and marketing on June 30, 2004. His leave would be effective officially on August 31. After five years with the company, he would move to mobile entertainment publisher Digital Bridges as COO.
The article should mentioned that David Gosen is EX-Nintendo Europe MD.
Funny point :
Gosen's tenure at Nintendo Europe has covered the launch of Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP and GameCube in the territory. Gosen made headlines with a controversial speech at the ELSPA Games Summit in London in June 2004, where he attacked Microsoft for attempting to bring the current console cycle to a premature end.
