EA’s Casual Entertainment label is to release a challenger to Nintendo’s Brain Training on DS later this year.
The publisher will release two titles inspired by the best-selling US education book series Brain Quest – with each designed for different age groups. The books have sold more than 28 million copies in total.
Both titles are based on a Brain Quest card game that has also become a best-seller in North America.

I don't see this gaming doing much. Brain Age is much more well known and is made by Nintendo and the market for brain training titles has already been target for tapping into by other developers/publishers and most have fizzled out.[ Oracle ] [ Level 20 ] [ Rank: 294 ]bids

Smart move by EA. This is the right way to do casual game. The price could be better IMO (IIRC, Brain Age is only $20 in US, instead of Brain Quest's $30).
Did EA license Brain Quest ? It said it is partnering with Workman Publishing, but I am not aware of the relationship between Brain Quest and Workman Publishing.[ Oracle ] [ Level 30 ] [ Rank: 14935 ]bids

Well, this title have support from Brain Quest, with 28 Million copies sold. There is name awareness (just like Japan recognized Dr. Kawashima). I played with some of the brain age clone, and those games are not good. I HOPE EA's game are better than those, since they have some license to rely on (like Prof. Layton series rely on famous puzzle book for name/brand awareness).
It really depend on the execution of the game, but I don't think we should disqualified (or hope too much) before knowing more. I am just happy that EA are spending more "effort" in their games, because I don't want EA to became "extint" or much smaller.
