Ubisoft are looking into turning their five Tom Clancy series - Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Endwar and Hawx - into a "megagame". How's that going to work? Here's how. They'll do it in baby steps. For example, in the next Ghost Recon and the next Endwar, they're hoping the missions will be interwoven, a mission in Ghost Recon 3 being given context in the larger conflict by a mission in Endwar 2.

i forgot the name but i think i saw a Sony game that went along those lines: with like 256 players each in squads it would effectively result in the same thing, with a high level commander controlling all the troops while the low level player playing basically a shooter[ Oracle ] [ Level 20 ] [ Rank: 444 ]bids

Witness for example Novalogic's promised "immersive combat experience" with Armored Fist 3, Comanche 4, and Delta Force Land Warrior.
