I just wanted to bring up this post and congratulate you on being so close (Gaara42 was close as well). Impressive that you two (and other who were a bit further off) were able to make accurate predictions based on the WFC data (average connections to WFC over the 2 weeks of sales showed about 3 connections weekly per copy sold, FYI).
Also, this supports my feeling that Wii owners are less likely to sign up for 3rd party services than PS3/360 owners. While the PS3 initially had more players go to the GH site, the Wii sold nearly 3 times the units. The 360 had a MUCH greater presence on the site, but only had twice the sales of the Wii (no doubt due to GH2 players).
Something for people to consider when other similar information comes in; Wii players are less likely to use services like the GH leaderboards.
